We loved the filmed version of the broadway musical Passing Strange!
The sheer fact that they used 14 cameras and you never saw one even for a second made this a great movie. The high energy and emotion of the cast was icing on the cake. Seeing the material for a second time and in this different medium allowed me to focus more on the meaning of the story and lyrics rather than the incredible production itself.
Now we are about to see The Missing Person, our first live action narrative feature of the fest. After this, two more movies, and then sleeeeep!
